We all know how obsessed I am with my nails these days. Back in the day I was the QUEEN of nail art. I always had something airbrushed or painted or rhinestones on my nails. I miss that I loved it.
I found this nail salon in Time Out NYC.
I went on the hunt to see what their nail art was really like.
LOVE and I'm going to make an appt!
Watching this video makes me drunk with love for my small son. He's just so amazing. Tonight while we were at the ends of our rope trying to put together that damn bunk bed, I sat on the floor out of exhaustion and he popped his head in the room and said
"Hey little Lion. What's up?" (for the record, I really do call him Lion and my little Lion. It's not just for the sake of the blog)
"Nuffin. I love you mommy"
“The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.”
I finally got in touch with the owner of a local business that is willing to rent out her commercial kitchen to Cupcake Hussy!
She wants a guaranteed 20 hours per month at $25 per hour.
That's a minimum of $500 a month or 250 delightful, delicious, delectable cupcakes sold per month.
I'm going to go and see her space on Monday! I'm so so so so excited. This is going to happen. 5 years of planning and wanting and dreaming and I'm going to make this thing happen!
Off to call the insurance company to find out what kind of insurance I need to carry to make something like this work.
Then I have to work on Mike to get him to do sales for me...
“Each day is a special gift from God, and while life may not always be fair, you must never allow the pains, hurdles, and handicaps of the moment to poison your attitude and plans for yourself and your future. You can never win when you wear the ugly cloak of self-pity, and the sour sound of whining will certainly frighten away any opportunity for success. Never again. There is a better way.”
"If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi desert. He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator. He will not be striving for it as a goal in itself. He will have become aware that he is happy in the course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day."
