THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN UPTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 2 PM EST MONDAY.
* LOCATIONS... NEW YORK CITY AND IMMEDIATE SUBURBS... WESTERN LONG ISLAND AND COASTAL SOUTHWEST CONNECTICUT.
* HAZARDS... SNOW.
* ACCUMULATIONS... 3 TO 5 INCHES.
* VISIBILITIES... 1/2 MILE AT TIMES.
* TIMING... LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP AROUND MIDNIGHT. A PERIOD OF MODERATE SNOW IS LIKELY LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL THEN GRADUALLY TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST LATE MONDAY MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON.
* IMPACTS... EXPECT HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
